Policy

Translation Policy

Our goal is fidelity of meaning and fidelity of internet voice. Natural English should preserve jokes, hostility, hesitation, jargon, and reply relationships without adding facts or making the source funnier than it is.

Structured versions

Japanese source text, normalized publication text, machine output, human edits, approved English, model metadata, prompt version, and glossary version remain separate records.

Protected elements

Reply references, safe URLs, product numbers, versions, code fragments, emoji, and known terminology are protected before translation. Source text is always treated as untrusted content, never as model instructions.

Originals and notes

English is the default reading layer. Readers can reveal Japanese per reply and open concise editorial notes when a term would otherwise be misunderstood.
